2008 Holiday Closures

• Tuesday, January 1  - New Year's

• Monday, January 21 - Martin Luther King, Jr., Birthday

• Monday, February 18- Presidents Day

• Monday, May 26 - Memorial Day

• Friday, July 4 - Independence Day

• Monday, September 1 - Labor Day

• Thursday & Friday, November 20 & 21 - Thanksgiving

• Wednesday, December 24 & Thursday, December 25 - Christmas

• Wednesday, December 31 & Thursday, January 1 - New Years

The list above indicates the Holidays on which we will not be delivering home delivered meals and our Senior Luncheon Centers will be closed.

For clients who are eligible to receive home delivered meals on these days, we will deliver an extra frozen meal on the day before the holiday for your meal on the holiday.  If you do not need a meal delivered for a holiday, please contact Nutritional Services in advance at (231) 755-0434 or 1-800-442-6769.

Weather Closing Procedures

If severe weather prevents us from delivering meals on a day, notification will be given by 10 AM on TV 13 and WMUS 107 FM if our entire agency or an entire county is closed.

We normally deliver extra shelf stable meal packs to our Meals on Wheels clients in early November.  These meals are intended to be saved for consumption on these unexpected weather closing days.
